Secure time-locked content sharing with zero-knowledge encryption
TimeVault is a free, secure platform for sharing content that unlocks at a specific future time. Whether you want to send a surprise birthday message, schedule an announcement, or create a digital time capsule, TimeVault ensures your content remains locked and encrypted until the moment you choose.
Built on Cloudflare's global infrastructure, TimeVault combines robust security with reliable delivery. Your content is encrypted end-to-end using industry-standard AES-256-GCM encryption, ensuring complete privacy.
When you create a vault, your content is encrypted in your browser using AES-256-GCM before being uploaded. The encryption happens entirely on your device—we never see your unencrypted data.
Choose when your vault should unlock. The content remains completely inaccessible until this time, enforced server-side for security.
Share the vault link (and key/password if applicable) with recipients. They can view the countdown and access the content once unlocked.
All encryption happens in your browser. We cannot read your content, even if we wanted to.
Combine link, vault key, and password for up to 3 layers of security.
Unlock times are enforced server-side—content cannot be accessed early.
All vaults are automatically deleted 30 days after unlock time.
TimeVault supports three content types with the following size limits:
Automatic Deletion: All vaults are permanently deleted 30 days after their unlock time. This ensures old content doesn't accumulate indefinitely.
One-Time View Option: Enable the "delete after first access" option to have the vault destroyed immediately after someone views it.
Zero Data Collection: We don't collect personal information, emails, or track your usage. See our Privacy Policy for details.
No Password Recovery: Due to zero-knowledge encryption, we cannot recover lost passwords or vault keys. Store them securely.
No, unlock times are immutable once set. This ensures security and prevents tampering.
Due to zero-knowledge encryption, we cannot recover passwords. The content will remain encrypted and inaccessible.
No, we don't track access logs or viewer information to maintain privacy.
Currently, there are no limits, but please use the service responsibly.

TimeVault is currently proprietary, but we're considering open-sourcing components in the future.
